May 11, 2015 : Along with the
whole nation, the University of Science & Technology,
Meghalaya also observed the “National Technology Day” on 11th
May, 2015 in a befitting manner. On the occasion, the
university had conducted an interactive talk on the topic “Building
Research and Innovation Eco-System in India" which was
delivered by Prof. Dr. Kamal Kant Dwivedi, President of Global
Academy of Doctorates. Prof. Dwivedi was the former Vice
Chancellor of Arunachal University and advisor to Ministry of
Science & Technology, Govt. of India. He has specialized in
the fields of Chemical, Nuclear, Environmental Science and
pursued research in inter disciplinary areas, also published
about two hundred research papers.
While
addressing the post graduate students of the departments of
Biotechnology, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Computer Science
and Electronics of the University, Prof. Dwivedi urged them to
be more specific towards research and innovation oriented
studies as India has lots of potentials to excel in the field
of research.
