Faculty Researchers & Support staff awarded at ERDF get
together
Mahbubul Hoque, Chancellor,
USTM felicitated support staff and performer faculty members
at ERDF get together on 30 November 2019 at USTM
9th Mile, Ri Bhoi, November
30, 2019: ERD Foundation Guwahati today felicitated
hundreds of its officers and staff as a sign of recognition
to the contributions made by them towards the growth of the
educational institutions that are being run by the
organization. In order to build a bonding with the employees
and to inculcate the culture of working in coordination,
this traditional annual get together over lunch has been
organised by ERDF since the beginning of its inception. On
the occasion, cash awards and citations were given to
outstanding faculty performers and performer operational
staff of the institutions. Felicitation and token of
appreciation was given to all housekeeping and support staff
of the institutions under ERD foundation. The function was
held in the USTM campus in the presence of Mahbubul Hoque,
Chancellor, Dr PK Goswami VC, Prof Suhail Sabir, Pro VC and
Dr Mridul Hazarika, Principal Advisor of University of
Science & Technology Meghalaya.
Addressing the gathering Mahbubul Hoque said, “The
housekeeping and the operational staff are integral family
members of the institute and we do care and respect them for
their service. We want to extend our bonding of brotherhood
and respect the dignity of labour.” This is an occasion to
minimize the gap between faculties, students, administrative
staff and support staff of our institutions and to
appreciate and recognize the work of the outstanding
performers. Hoque appealed to all to work united to fulfill
the mission and set for quality education. He also spoke on
importance of inculcating moral values and professional
ethics among the students and teachers.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mridul Hazarika, Principal
Advisor to USTM and former Vice Chancellor of Gauhati
University said, “This is a unique show of love and respect
to the workers of an institution. It is human nature to get
inspired by appreciations and incentives. In such an
exceptional occasion all will carry special memories.”
In a gathering of more than 1000 students, teachers and
other staff members of the organization, the USTM
authorities displayed gratitude to the housekeeping and
support staff by showing respect to them for the work they
do for the organization. The felicitation ceremony was
followed by a feast which was mainly to recognize the
sincere and devoted service of the support staff. The
function was participated by all the staff members of ERDF. |
