Special Convocation to confer Hon. D.Litt. & D.Sc. by
USTM

February, 2019: Four eminent and internationally
acclaimed personalities from different fields ranging from
education and entrepreneurship to industryand philanthropy,
will receive Hon. D.Litt. and D.Sc. from the University of
Science & Technology, Meghalaya on 11 February, 2019. The
Degrees will be conferred at the Central Auditorium of USTM
by ShriTathagata Roy, Hon’ble Governor of Meghalaya and
Visitor, USTM in the presence of ShriLakhmenRymbui, Minister
of Education, Meghalaya; MrMahbubulHoque, Chancellor, USTM;
Dr P K Goswami, Vice Chancellor, USTM, apart from others.
The recipients of the Hon. D.Litt. and D.Sc. Degrees
include, eminent educationist and Former Chairman of UPSC,
New Delhi Prof David R Syiemlieh; Entrepreneur,
Philanthropist, Author, Civic Leader, and Thought Leader
from USAMrFrank Fakhrul Islam; UAE based entrepreneur and
philanthropist Dr P A Ibrahim Haji, and the Singapore based
entrepreneur and industrialistMrSudipDutta. The programme
will be presided over by the Governor of Meghalaya while the
Convocation Address will be delivered by the Education
Minister of Meghalaya. |
