MOU with USTM, India

ISTANBUL, 11 July, 2018:
Fatih Sultan Mehmet University, one of the premier
universities in Turkey, has signed MoU with USTM, India
yesterday. The MoU has been signed by Prof. Dr. Musa Duman,
Rector, Fatih Sultan Mehmet University and Mahbubul Hoque,
Chancellor of USTM in presence of high officials of both the
universities. Prof. Akhtar Siddiqui from Jamia Milia Islamia,
New Delhi, Prof. Suhail Sabir from Aligarh Muslim University
and Prof. Gous Mashkoor Khan from JNU, New Delhi were also
present on the occasion.
The main focus of the MoU has been student cooperation,
academic cooperation, and scientific research. Student
cooperation between the two universities will be enhanced
through encouraging students’ visit between the two
institutions, student exchange opportunities to study at the
respective institutions, organizing joint workshops and
encouraging students to join the summer school programs
organized by the two universities.
It was decided that academic cooperation between the two
institutions will be enhanced through establishing Joint
Degree Programmes, exchange of researchers, appointing joint
supervision and external examiners for masters and PhD
thesis, joint review of scientific research, etc. Under
scientific research collaborations, activities like
organizing scientific conferences and workshops, enabling
researchers to mutually benefit from the facilities and
resources of both institutions and encouraging joint
publications between the researchers of both institutions
are included. |
