faculty delegation visits University of Sharjah

An eight member faculty delegation from University of
Science and Technology Meghalaya led by Prof. Alaka Sharma,
Dean, School of Social Sciences and Humanities left for UAE
on 10 January 2018 and visited the University of Sharjah as
well as some other educational institutions. The delegation
was called on by Prof. Hamid M.K Al-Naimiy, Hon’ble
Chancellor, University of Sharjah for exchange of ideas on
academic collaboration, specially research and the visit
took place on 14 January.
The delegation for this international educational
collaboration is a part of the group of thirty faculties who
were recently awarded by the University based on their all
round performance. Mahbubul Hoque, Chancellor, USTM said
that educational tour is one of the incentives awarded to
the best performing faculties every year. The team comprises
of Dr Rashmi R Baruah, HoD, Department of Business
Administration, Dr Papiya Dutta, HoD, Department of Rural
Development, Dr Shankar Thappa, Associate Prof, Department
of Business Administration, Dr Sandeep Gupta, Assistant
Professor, Department of Sociology, Mr Rupam Roy, Asst Prof,
Department of Business Administration, and Mr Rizaul K
Ahmed, Asst Prof, Department of Zoology. The group was
coordinated by Mehjabin Rehman, Joint Director-HR, ERDF. |
